Literary collaborations offer the possibility to share with others a common ground, to create and offer a collective landscape: to manifest a shared perspective on the things of the world. Particular subjects and preoccupations, the celebration of a cultural heritage, the exploration of a particular literary genre. All reasons are good reasons to create and also to be part of an anthology.

These are the collections I’ve been invited to participate in, as a poet, as an essayist, and as a story-teller.

December 16, 2013

I have a critic’s hunch that, if the authors featured here insist (I don’t see why they would falter, especially when some of them already enjoy a well-earned prestige), their names will be a part of the history of our short story in the XXI century.

— Carlos Sandoval

Over a decade of our brief short-form narrative is offered here, a sampling that is free, unprejudiced, and –very important- enjoyable without aesthetic sacrifices, pleasant from the depth of its diverse proposals. Forty men and women writers are agglutinated in this volume, and it is hard to determine which surpasses which. For this reason, we invite the reader to engage in the exercise of reading any one of the texts first so as to confirm that, on each page, it is difficult to stop reading.

— Luis Barrera Linares
